Maggie Carroll is the illustrator behind Sometimes I Pretend I'm Spaghetti, a new picture book written by Leslie Pearlson and published by Orange Hat Publishing. Due out on 18 May 2026, the book uses imaginative pretend play to introduce young children to mindfulness and simple calming techniques, without ever using the word.
