Andy Potts: Found Wanting – single cover art for First Congress
Andy Potts has illustrated the cover or ‘Found Wanting’, the upcoming single from First Congress. The illustration was inspired by imagery of Ancient Egyptian gods and weighing scales, supplied by band leader Tom Van Can, and evolved into a kid Anubis on a see saw (naturally!).
Andy Potts: Agent 23 Skidoo – Infinity Plus One
Andy Potts recently completed a fun commission to create the artwork for American family hip hop artist Secret Agent 23 Skidoo’s new album, Infinity Plus One. Working with the artist Cactus Skidoo the brief was to create illustrations that reflected the ‘intergalactic space funk’ of the music and a child-like wonder for the cosmos. The artwork is primarily for the packaging with the CD design itself based on the Voyager Golden Record launched into space on the classic ’77 mission. The packaging also features glow-in-the-dark elements on the front and back.
