We were privileged to introduce one of our talented illustrators, Kanako to bestselling author Anthony Horowitz over lunch in Covent Garden this
week.

Although Kanako and her sister Yuzuru have collaborated with Anthony for many years on the graphic novel adaptation of the smash hit Alex Rider series, this was the first time they had met face-to-face.  As she lives in Japan, Yuzuru was unable to join us; however Anthony would like to meet Yuzuru when he travels to Tokyo next year.

Over lunch, Anthony expressed his admiration for the sisters’ work and revealed how thrilled he was with their artistic realisation of his novels.  To celebrate their successful partnership, Anthony asked Kanako to sign a copy of one of the books and in return, Anthony wrote a personal message to Kanako’s daughter who is a big fan of the Alex Rider stories.

Kanako and Yuzuru are currently working with Walker Books on the graphic novel adaptation of Eagle Strike, the fourth gripping tale in the Alex Rider series.
